Lucy is a seasoned storyteller who spent more than a decade at communications agencies in both London and San Francisco. Her expertise spans the TMT, travel, CPG, hospitality/entertainment, and healthcare industries and includes company and product launches, ongoing corporate and executive visibility initiatives, industry analyst programs, and investor relations. She also has experience in communications related to restructuring and leadership changes, product recalls and food borne illnesses, mergers and acquisitions, activist investors, and litigation.
Lucy was a Principal at Sard Verbinnen, a top strategic and crisis communications firm. Tenure highlights include launching the genetic testing company 23andMe in the US and Europe, supporting LinkedIn’s China launch, advising Yahoo! on several executive transitions, and providing counsel on transactions valued at more than $150 Billion. She worked extensively with private equity and venture capital firms.
Having spent most of her career in San Francisco, Lucy has a deep understanding of technology and the tech PR landscape. Most recently, she created and led the Corporate Communications function for mixed reality smartglasses startup Osterhout Design Group, handling all media and analyst relations, product launches, events, social media and written MarComm activities.
Lucy started her career in the London office of global financial communications consultancy Finsbury. She holds an LLB in Law with American Law from the University of Nottingham in England. During her studies she spent a year at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin. She now resides in Austin.
