Jim connects with people at all levels of an organization thanks to a 30-year career in many facets of corporate communications.
He held executive communications roles with General Motors, Federal-Mogul and Babcock and Wilcox, and has held roles in human resources and labor relations. He’s counseled many CEOs and leadership teams, and worked in several manufacturing facilities – proof that he knows what it takes to reach many different audiences.
Jim has also led communications for company acquisitions and new product launches. He recently managed communications for a multinational food manufacturers’ global change initiative that included the company’s largest information technology implementation ever. He has worked extensively with colleagues and clients throughout North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Jim is president-elect of the Charlotte, North Carolina, chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He is a classic automobile enthusiast and resides in Charlotte.
